English is widely understood and spoken in hotels, restaurants, and at all major tourist attractions. Your tour guide will also be multilingual and happy to assist you.

Does this tour involve a lot of difficult or strenuous hiking?

This is primarily a scenic and cultural coach tour, not a trekking holiday. It involves moderate amounts of walking on generally flat surfaces in towns and at attractions. Any mountain excursions included are typically done via cable car or funicular to enjoy the spectacular views without the need for any strenuous climbing, making it suitable for most fitness levels.

What extra clothing should I pack for the mountain excursions?

Even on warm summer days, the temperature at higher altitudes in the Alps can be significantly cooler, windy, and can change quickly. We highly recommend bringing a warm layer, such as a fleece jacket, and a light windproof or waterproof jacket for any mountain trips. Sunglasses are also a must due to the strong glare from the sun.
